There are several ways you can make a difference in the lives of children, families, and individuals throughout Pinellas County...
How you can help...

Support

  • Gifts of Cash, Stock, Real Estate and Personal Property - An outright gift of cash, checks, securities, stocks, real estate, and personal property transfers immediately to Suncoast Center from the donor to support the priority needs of the agency.

  • Memorial Gift and Honor Gift - Giving a gift of honor or tribute is a great way to celebrate a special person or occasion in your life, while supporting Suncoast Center’s work in the community.

  • Major Gift Pledges - Many donors want to make larger commitments to Suncoast Center, and spread their giving over 3-5 years.

  • Special Events - Two major special events, Success Breakfast (September) and Art Heals (April) are held each year.  These events bring together friends in the community, clients, survivors and staff of Suncoast Center to support the initiatives of the agency in the community.

  • Real Estate and Personal Property - Please call our office at 727.388.1284 to discuss this gift.

  • Matching Corporate Gifts - Many corporations have a matching gift program for charitable contributions. Most companies will match a gift 2 to 1, which allows donors to be recognized at a higher giving level due to the match. The Human Resources Office at your company will typically have information about their matching gift program.

  • Corporate or Foundation Grants - We work to secure corporate and foundation funding in such areas as pharmaceutical support, faculty research, matching gifts, sponsorships, program endowment funds, building opportunities, and gifts-in-kind (including technological equipment).

Sexual Assault Services
There are many ways to get involved with Suncoast Center's Sexual Assault Services.  You provide the time and we provide the training.  Below please find a few common ways volunteers help.

Event Assistance:  For someone who is seeking a low time commitment, look no further than assistance with Sexual Assault Services events.  The Sexual Assault Services staff plan and attend events throughout the year as a way to spread awareness of sexual violence and to explain the free and confidential services we provide.  You can help by volunteering your time at an event(s).  Volunteer duties may include: assisting with setup, helping tear down or interaction with the crowd.

Volunteer Sexual Assault Victim Examination (SAVE) Advocate: For someone who is seeking a longer term commitment, Sexual Assault Services occasionally adds volunteer staff to their Sexual Assault Victim Examination team.  This team provides advocacy and support for survivors during a forensic medical exam after a sexual assault.

All volunteers are subject to a local background check, Advocacy Core training certification and supervision by Suncoast Center's Sexual Assault Services staff.
Monetary Donations:   For someone who is not able to donate time but would rather make a financial contribution, you can make a one time or standing monetary donation to help us continue providing outstanding services to survivors.

For more information on this opportunity, please call (727) 327-7656, ext. 5264.
